Commencing on alternate feet, push forward from a 'T' position and balance for a minimum of 5 seconds with free leg extended behind:
- In a straight line
- On an outside edge

Skate forward on alternate feet, stroking from the side of the foot. |

Skating forward perform a sitting position on one leg (little man on one leg) - hips level with knees. |

Skate forward and without stopping turn to backwards, continuing with a backward snake pattern to a backward stop. Turns to be performed both clockwise and anti-clockwise. (Any turn executed without stopping is acceptable). |

Push backwards from wall/barrier and balance on alternate feet for a minimum of 3 seconds on each foot. |

Perform a jump on 2 feet:
- Stationary
- Skating forward

Continuous forward run movement in a circle, both clockwise and anti-clockwise:
- CROSSED -The new tracing foot crossing the old.
- UNCROSSED - the new tracing foot is aimed alongside the toe of the employed foot.

Skate backwards on alternate feet across the rink, showing some understanding of free leg position. (introduction to backward stroke skating). |

Skate backwards on alternate feet, stroking from the side of the foot. |

Foxtrot movement - LFO, RFI Run, LFO with free leg swinging to front, RFO, LFI Run, RFO with free leg swinging to front. (if skating on a narrow floor, corner steps can be adapted to LFO, RFI Run, LFO, RFO with free leg swinging to front).

Toe Push (Bunny Hops) and Mazurka Jumps. (A mazurka jump is any toe assisted linking jump step).

Commencing on alternate feet, use either a mohawk or a three turn to turn to backwards, perform a backward outside edge, free leg extended in front. |
